Do you play the fiddle?

Hjaltibonhoga are a community band with the main aim of playing at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.  We have been asked to take part for the next 10 years and we are keen for any interested player to join us!
The band also play regularly at home and our rehearsals are always good fun!

  • All abilities are welcome - there's also the Training Band to work on your playing before trying The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo music with the senior group

  • Come along to learn some tunes and enjoy playing with a group

  • Join the full band for concerts

  • Start working on skills needed for playing at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

During The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoos in Australia and New Zealand in February 2016 we collaborated with local fiddle players from each country
  • Building on this, we are delighted to invite fiddle players from Scotland and internationally to join us in Edinburgh
